CU-ATS ย่อมาจาก Aptitude Test for Science of Chulalongkorn University เป็นข้อสอบทางถนัดทางวิทยาศาสตร์ ของจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ใช้เพื่อเข้าเรียนต่อในคณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ และคณะวิทยาศาสตร์ ภาคภาษาอังกฤษ (Inter) โดยเปิดให้สอบใน 2 แขนงวิชาด้วยกัน คือ วิชา Physics และ Chemistry
เนื่องจากเป็นข้อสอบเพื่อเข้าศีกษาต่อในคณะ Engineering และ Science จึงมีวิชาหลัก 2 วิชาคือ ฟิสิกส์ และ เคมี (เพิ่มเติมชีววิทยาเข้าไปด้วยเฉพาะ ภาควิชา Nano) ในปี ค.ศ. 2014 (พ.ศ.2557) ทางจุฬาเริ่มเปลี่ยนการออกข้อสอบเป็นแบบใหม่ โดยแต่ละวิชามีรายละเอียดดังนี้
– Physics จำนวน 30 ข้อ ให้เวลาในการทำข้อสอบ 60 นาที เน้นคำนวน
– Chemistry จำนวน 55 ข้อ ให้เวลาในการทำข้อสอบ 60 นาที
ค่าสมัครสอบ 1,000 บาท
1. ข้อสอบ CU-ATS เป็นข้อสอบแบบตัวเลือกทั้งหมด แนวข้อสอบของส่วน Physics หลังปรับปรุงใหม่จะไม่คล้ายกับ SAT Subject test Physics เท่าไหร่ เพราะได้มีการปรับเปลี่ยนให้เป็นข้อสอบที่เน้นคำนวน และลดจำนวนลงเหลือเพียง 30ข้อเท่านั้น ในส่วนของ Chemistry สามารถใช้หนังสือร่วมกันได้ กับ SAT Subject test Chemistry
2. ข้อสอบ CU-ATS นั้นมีการเปิดให้สอบ 3 ครั้งต่อปี และสามารถเก็บคะแนนไว้ใช้ได้เป็นเวลา 2 ปี
3. ถ้าตอบผิดจะถูกหักคะแนนข้อละ 0.25 เพราะฉะนั้นถ้าไม่รู้จริงๆแนะนำให้เว้นไว้ดีกว่า
Introduction
The CU-ATS is the aptitude test for science developed by Chulalongkorn University. It accesses the candidate’s skills in physics and chemistry. The CU-ATS is necessary for students who wish to study one of three international Bachelor’s programs in the Faculty of Engineering of Chulalongkorn University, namely Automotive Design and Manufacturing EngineeringInformation and Communication Engineering and Aerospace Engineering.
What is tested?
The CU-ATS has a physics and a chemistry section.
The CU-ATS encompasses a total of 115 questions, and the total test duration is 120 minutes. The candidate has to achieve a minimum score of 800 points to pass. All questions are posed as multiple-choice. A non-programmable calculator is allowed in the test room. Candidates can use the test results for application up to two years after the test date. Candidates are allowed to take the test more than once to achieve the best possible results. However, they should make sure to have their test results ready at the beginning of the year for admission to Chulalongkorn University.
